This is just a reminder that on Thursday 4th February from 7.00pm - 8.00pm there is a Year 6 SAT's information evening for Parents/Carers.

Due to safeguarding measures for your children, could we please remind you that taxis or personal vehicles are NOT permitted to enter the school grounds unless previously organised with the school.

All school based clubs start next week, beginning on Monday 18th January.

On Wednesday, Senior Leaders and School Governors spent the morning with the school’s attached Local Authority Partner. The aim of the morning was to evaluate the extent to which we have embraced the requirements of the New Primary Maths Curriculum – a School Development Plan priority for this year. There are many changes and perhaps the most significant is the expectation of how maths must now be taught in greater depth for greater understanding.  The teaching and learning must now aim to develop the following three strands: fluency, mathematical reasoning and problem solving. We were delighted with the feedback from the visit which confirmed that our teaching staff were making excellent progress with the new requirements especially the teaching of the ‘reasoning’ strand which encourages children to explain and justify their answers.

On Thursday 14th January Year 5 swimming starts and School ‘Pop Choir’ also starts next Thursday 14th January at 3.15pm - 4.15pm In 6D
