On Thursday, a mixed team of Year 3 and 4 girls took part in a tournament with Horley schools. They played very well, winning two matches, drawing one and losing one. They clearly enjoyed the experience. Well done, girls!

The next teachers’ strike is scheduled for 2 nd March. We will let you know by Monday 20th February at the latest whether this will affect your child. It is very possible that there will be more class closures this time. Please look out for messages on Studybugs and letters in your children’s bags. Once again, I apologise for any inconvenience caused to parents and carers.

Today we launched new names for our four houses. The houses will now be named after trees in the school grounds: Birch (blue), Hazel (green), Rowan (red) and Whitebeam (yellow). The School Council were involved in the choice of names, inspired by the work we are doing to develop outdoor learning. We think they have done a great job!
