Please take the opportunity to clear out some of your unwanted clothes over the weekend and bring them into school on 1st or 2nd  March (drop-off or pick-up). This will help raise much needed funds for our fabulous FoY. Thank you very much.

  • Safeguarding Team Changes

    Mon 21 Feb 2022

For your information, there will be a minor change to the Safeguarding Team after half term. Ruth Bienkowski, the deputy head, will take on the role of designated safeguarding lead (DSL) and Guy Perkins will become one of the deputy designated safeguarding leaders (DDSLs). Why contact the DSL or DDSL at Yattendon School? If you had any concerns about the wellbeing of a child attending Yattendon, you would contact one of the safeguarding team. At Yattendon, we have a DSL and three Deputy DSLs. Any one of them may be contacted. The reason for us having a team of four, is to ensure we always have a team member on site to deal with any safeguarding issue. https://www.yattendon.org/safeguarding-and-online-safety/

  • Safer Internet Day

    Fri 04 Feb 2022

Tuesday 8th February is Safer Internet Day. We will be sharing information about internet safety with the children in Monday's  virtual assembly and children in every class will be learning about internet safety on this year's theme: 'All fun and games?Exploring respect and relationships online'. During next week, each class will be making a display of our e-safety rules and will learn about why these rules are so important.  This is a great opportunity to take time as a family to talk about your safe use of the internet. A Family Online Safety Plan has also been sent with the Friday Flyer this week. Further information for parents and carers is available here https://saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day/safer-internet-day2022/advice-for-parents-and-carers
