  • Summer Fair - Saturday 7th July

    Fri 29 Jun 2018

Summer Fair is next Saturday (7th July). Please send your child with donations for the summer fair during next week

(6th July at the latest). They can bring teddies (in good condition), bottles, sweets, toiletries or something in a jar for a prize. If they bring in three items (including any already donated) or more, they may wear mufti on Friday. There will be a request for cakes but to ensure that they are as fresh as possible, we ask that they be brought in on Friday 6th or at the start of the fair on Saturday. Please email friends@yattendon.surrey.sch.uk if you can help on the day. Thank you very much for all your support!

  • Club Cancellations

    Fri 22 Jun 2018

Occasionally we have to cancel after-school clubs. Whilst we try and avoid this, there are occasions when staff absence or poor weather means that it is not possible for clubs to proceed as planned. We have always asked that parents and carers phone the clubs hotline on 01293 734101 after 2:00pm to check that clubs have not been affected in this way.

Our office staff will always try and contact parents who have not collected their children in the event of a cancellation.

Unfortunately, they have recently experienced some rudeness from parents who have not checked the clubs hotline, perhaps assuming that the club should go ahead if the weather is good. We really appreciate your patience and co-operation and will always offer to supervise children until you can collect them. Thank you for your understanding (and please don’t shoot the messengers!)

  • Osmington Bay Travel Update

    Fri 15 Jun 2018

The children are currently travelling back from Osmington Bay and are still expecting to arrive back at school at 6:00pm.

If there is any major change to this time due to traffic we will email you and update the website accordingly.

We look forward to hearing about the amazing week they have had.

  • Year 6 Residential and Non-Residential

    Fri 15 Jun 2018

It’s been a very quiet week here at school without our Year 6 pupils. The children who travelled to Osmington Bay have had a fantastic week in the sunshine. They have been outstanding ambassadors for our school and have made the most of their time away. We can’t wait to hear all about their trip when they arrive home.

Our Year 6 children who stayed with us for the week have also had a fun-filled week. Highlights have been their trip to Godstone Farm, going ape at Go Ape and making some beautiful decorated pottery pieces.

A huge thank you goes to all the staff who gave up their time and put so much effort into ensuring the children had a brilliant week.

  • Osmington Bay 2018 Update

    Thu 14 Jun 2018

Unfortunately some of our parents / carers have not been aware that the staff at Osmington Bay have been updating our Twitter Account with views of Osmington Bay and tweets about activities they have been taking part in this week.

We apologise if not all members of our parent community were aware of this.

    Our twitter account is @YattendonSchool

If you do not have an account the children are having an amazing time and here is a summary:-

    • The meals have gone down very well

    • Children have slept solidly after busy days of activities

    • Activities enjoyed so far are: camp fire, raft building, archery, Jacob’s ladder and rock climbing.

The staff at Osmington Bay have told us that they have no access to a laptop to upload photos from the school camera.  They will make a full upload at the weekend and pictures will be available on the website.

We will be in touch about their departure and expected time of arrival tomorrow.

  • Sports Holiday Clubs

    Tue 12 Jun 2018

Mr Pedley and his team of coaches at Visionary Sports Academy are going to be running specialised sports holiday clubs here at Yattendon over the first two weeks of the summer holidays. The first week (23rd July-27th July) will be a football holiday club and the second week (30th July-3rd August) will be a cricket holiday club.

In order for these to go ahead Mr Pedley would like to gauge the interest level before he sends out any registration leaflets.

If this is something you are interested in it would be greatly appreciated if you could click on the link below for more information and to register your interest (which sport and for how many days). The questionnaire should take no longer than 30 seconds of your time.

    Register your interest link: https://form.jotformeu.com/81612705486358

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact Mr Pedley at dan@visionarysportsacademy.co.uk
