It has been brought to our attention that some children have not been waiting safely outside the Lumley Road gate in the morning. Please can we remind you that children should not be arriving to school before 8:30am when the gates are opened. We will be reminding children about the importance of road safety when walking to school in the morning and if this message could be shared at home too that would be really helpful.  
 

Food brought in - Please remember that this is a nut free school. Children should not have any foods containing nuts in their snacks, packed lunches or birthday treats (for sharing). Talking of break time snacks, this can only be a piece of fruit. 
 
Water bottles - Please ensure that your child is sent to school with a water bottle. This should only contain water please! Thank you. 
 Uniform - Please make sure your child has loose-fitting navy shorts or tracksuit bottoms for PE days rather than tights or cycle shorts. 

Tuesday 21st September Please make sure you put the date for photos (individuals and sibling groups this year) in your diaries - 21st September.  Children will need to wear full school uniform (with their tie). They should not wear PE kit on this day. If this is a PE day for your child, teachers will plan a less active lesson and they will not require kit in school.
