  • Next Term

    Fri 17 Dec 2021

Whilst I am optimistic by nature, I think it is reasonable to assume that next term will continue to challenge schools. At Yattendon, we have certainly noticed that there are now significant issues securing supply teachers to cover absent teachers, for instance, and this appears to be a national issue.  Whilst we will continue to do everything possible to maintain face-to-face teaching, we know there is the possibility that there may be times when we have to close classes and switch to remote learning. This will very much be a last resort and will be as a result of guidance from health authorities or decisions made at government level. As before, we will        communicate with you as much as possible and provide high quality remote education using the Google Classroom platform, if it becomes necessary to do so.

  • PE uniform

    Fri 10 Dec 2021

A vast majority of children are wearing correct uniform for PE days. However, a few children are not wearing loose-fitting plain navy jogging bottoms and/or a navy school hoodie for PE. Whilst the fashion is for leggings/exercise tights/a skin-tight style, these are not permitted. Please purchase correct hoodies (plain non-logo hoodies may be worn if cost is a concern) and make sure your child has navy loose-fitting jogging bottoms for next term. The uniform policy helps to prevent children becoming overly bodyconscious and is the most appropriate kit to be worn on the journey to and from school.

  • Christmas Post

    Fri 10 Dec 2021

Please make sure your child adds the first name and surname to cards they are sending so that our postal service can deliver to the right person! Thank you to the Year 6 children volunteering to take on this sorting and delivery role.
