We have decided to continue the policy of children wearing PE kit on days that they have PE for the next academic year. We feel this reduces a lot of curriculum time wasted by children taking their time to get changed. It also leads to fewer items of lost property. Please make sure that new PE kit you buy for your children conforms to our uniform policy. They will need to have plain navy  (loose-fitting) jogging bottoms, house t-shirt, hoodie and plain navy (loose-fitting) shorts. As previously mentioned, all children will need to wear correct PE and main school uniform from September 2021. Skin-tight shorts and sports tights/fitness leggings will not be allowed, unless these items are worn under looser clothing.  Please avoid buying non-uniform items for children to wear to school in the meantime. Thank you.
  • Friends of Yattendon

    Fri 19 Mar 2021
We very much hope you have seen and read the letter sent earlier in the week about restarting our fabulous Friends of Yattendon (FoY). FoY is really looking forward to being a key part of our community again and we would be incredibly grateful for your help. You don’t have to commit, but please   complete the short survey and/or attend the Zoom meeting next Thursday at 8:00pm.  https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ZPLNV3J .
  • Drop Off and Pick Up

    Fri 12 Mar 2021
This has gone well so far, though some children are not arriving at the right time in the morning. Children should NOT arrive earlier than 8:30am and, if they are in the Upper School, should be NO LATER than 8:40am because at this time Year 3 & 4 children are coming in. Please keep young children close to you, rather than letting them run around. Thank you for your help in making this as safe as  possible.

  • IMPORTANT - Asymptomatic testing for households

    Fri 05 Mar 2021
If you’re a member of a household, childcare bubble or support bubble of a school pupil, college student or of a staff member, you can get twice-weekly symptom-free tests. The symptom-free tests for households are not available from schools or colleges. Households can use any testing offered by their employer, or book an appointment online at a symptom-free testing site, or collect a home-testing kit from a designated collection point, or if unable to travel to a site, order a kit online. You can find out more at surreycc.gov.uk/symptomfreecovidtesting.If your child or a household or bubble member develops COVID-19 symptoms, do not use symptom-free testing. Book a free test at gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or call 119.
  • Help with school uniform

    Thu 04 Mar 2021
We are aware that this may cause additional financial worries to parents/carers as during lockdown children will have  continued to grow and you may find yourself in a position whereby it is difficult to manage to buy replacement uniform for your child at this time.  We are very lucky to be able to link into the Stripey Stork Charity who currently have available a good range of sizes for both boys and girls in: generic uniform (shirts, trousers, skirts and dresses/summer dresses), school shoes (including trainers and wellies). If you are a family who is struggling to replace these items (due to your finances), please contact our Home School Link Worker, Karen Pickett, who can make a referral to Stripey Stork on your behalf.
