On Monday Miss Burgess (joined by our specialist music teacher, Mrs Ballard) took Pop Choir to Dorking Halls for the annual music festival. They joined many other schools from around Surrey to perform a wonderful array of songs from ‘Go Lightning Vikings’. The quality of the singing was superb. The Yattendon narrator, Erin in Year 6, represented our school brilliantly.

 

Please bring something to sit on if you are coming to the picnic as the grass may still be a little damp.

The book fair will be at Yattendon School from Monday to Thursday next week. This is a fabulous opportunity for the children to purchase books for themselves as well as earning rewards for the school. The rewards we earn allow us to buy new books for the library and classrooms. Last year we earned over £500.00 in rewards! The books will be on sale from 3.15pm - 4.00pm each day in 6R. Payments can be made in cash, card (via the phone) or cheques. Alternatively gift vouchers are available at the book fair website bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/parents

On Friday 18th May we will be marking the wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle by asking the children to wear red, white and blue. Individual year groups will also be organising a fun activity during the day. If children wish to wear a crown or other regal clothing, they are more than welcome!

 

Unfortunately due to insufficient numbers the quiz night scheduled for Friday evening (11/05/18) has had to be cancelled. Any tickets purchased will be refunded.
