We have a new shield to add to the trophy cabinet! A huge congratulations goes to our Year

6 cricket team who took part in a cricket tournament at Merstham Cricket Club. They won all the matches in their group to become the Horley Kwik Cricket champions. Unfortunately, they then came up against a very strong Reigate Priory team in the semi-final and lost this match. However, they have qualified for the Reigate and Banstead district final on the 8th June, where they will have the chance to avenge this defeat! All the children represented the school extremely well.

  • FoY (Friends of Yattendon)

    Mon 15 May 2017

Talking about community support, the FoY met this week to discuss the projects they want to support and some of the events they are organising. They do a wonderful job for our school and I can’t thank them enough. They will be offering refreshments to spectators at Sports Day and are selling tickets (online) for the discos on Thursday 25th May. Please go online and purchase your children’s tickets early to help the committee judge numbers.

The FoY have also agreed to help us purchase new stage lighting for the hall and will be looking at sponsoring the school minibus for another year. The minibus has proven a really valuable asset to the school, but wouldn’t be possible without the efforts of the FoY team and the wider parent/carer community.
