  • Working one-to-one with parents and carers - confidential support

    Fri 24 Mar 2023

As the dad of three children (including two boys under eleven) I think we can all agree that parenting children is hard work. There is no manual to ensure we get it right every time! If you feel you could do with some extra support, then our Home School Link Worker - Karen Burgess - may be able to help. Karen has completed training with Family Links and this now enables her to work with parents/carers on a one-to-one basis to help nurture family relationships and develop behaviour management strategies. All support is offered in a friendly and confidential way. Sessions can be tailored to suit each family’s needs with the ultimate aim of getting the best out of family life. If you would like to discuss this with Karen, please email kburgess@yattendon.surrey.sch.uk or contact her by telephone via the school office.

  • Healthy Eating

    Fri 03 Mar 2023

We are always impressed by the healthy packed lunches we see in school. However, there has been an increase in sweets and chocolate bars noticed by lunchtime staff. Please note that these items should not appear in packed lunches. Thank you. Reminder: Break snacks should be an item of fruit. We will make sure the children are aware so they don’t complain to you about any changes you make! Thank you for your support.
