Congratulations to all the children who took part in the cross-country event last Thursday at Manor Field School. Twenty-three children were selected to represent our school and all did a fantastic job running several gruelling laps of the school field. Every member of the team showed amazing perseverance and resilience to complete the entire race. With some fantastic performances across the whole team, we earned 22 points and finished a respectable 3rd place out of the six Horley schools competing. Well done everyone but especially our Year 3 boys who took first, second and fourth place in their race.

Thanks to the wonderful support of those attending and the phenomenal work that members of the FoY committee invested in the Christmas fair, £3688.00 profit was made! This fabulous total will go towards all the extras the FoY sponsor throughout the year, keeping down the costs of special visitors and enabling us to enhance learning experiences for our children. A special thanks goes to Mary Collins for organising the fair with Claire Price, Davina Barker, Sarah Collins, Lucy Challis, Fiona Robertson and Sarah Wylie in support. We are very lucky to have such a dedicated Friends organisation at Yattendon.
