  • Road Safety - URGENT!

    Fri 20 Dec 2019

We had a call from a very concerned motorist during the week who had to make an emergency stop when a child crossed the ‘pinch point’ in Oakwood Road without looking. The child was engrossed with their mobile phone, I believe. Please speak to your child about crossing safely and remind them that the pinch point (road calming measure) is not to be treated as a zebra crossing. Cars are not obliged to stop at this point in the road. However, the fact that many do stop gives the children a false sense of security which is clearly a safety concern.

  • Christmas Collection for Horley Food Bank

    Fri 13 Dec 2019

Instead of a ‘Secret Santa’ this year, the staff of Yattendon have decided to donate food to the Horley Food Bank. If you would like to do the same, the Food Bank are asking for the following items: biscuits, savoury crackers, sugar, cereal and tinned meat meals such as chicken in a sauce, chilli or pies.
