Next Thursday, we are launching our very own Freecycle service for our school community. The idea is that parents and carers can send us photos and brief descriptions of items they want to give away. By including their email address, anyone interested can contact them directly to arrange collection. If anyone has benefitted from the Freecycle service, they have the option of donating via Scopay to a special fund to give additional help (above the help we can offer as a school) for families needing help to afford residential trips for their children. Next week is Anti-Bullying Week and all our children will be taking part in assemblies and activities to highlight bullying and cyber-bullying and making sure they know who to go to and what to do if they ever experience any form of bullying. The week will kick-off on Monday with ‘Odd Socks Day’ - this highlights uniqueness and the fact that differences are a cause for celebration.

Thanks to the amazing efforts of the school community, generously supported by FoY, we now have a wonderful new facility for outdoor learning. If you haven’t seen it already, it is located on the field behind the main building. Many of the children have already been using the classroom this week. I would like to thank Judith Barlow, who leads on outdoor learning, for all the work she invested in making sure we found a design that would suit our purposes.
