    Fri 26 Apr 2024

A huge congratulations to our Year 3 boys football team who, last Friday, played in their first Horley School Year 3 football tournament. As always, it was great to see fantastic sporting behaviours. It was a very close competition. We scored 12 points by winning four out of our five matches. Langshott also score 12 points, but as our goal difference was better, we were the winners. Thank you to all the families who came to support the team. The next sports fixture is Friday 10th May when our Year 5 boys team will be playing.

  • Healthy Lunches

    Fri 22 Mar 2024

We ask that all parents and carers who send their children to school with a packed lunch are mindful of our ‘healthy packed lunch’ policy. This policy reflects the need for children to have a good balance of nutritional foods at lunchtime. As part of this policy, we do not allow confectionary/sweets in packed lunches. Please avoid including these. Thank you!

  • Reminder

    Fri 01 Mar 2024

Next Thursday we are celebrating World Book Day. Children may dress in their favourite book character with prizes awarded in each year group for the costume showing the most imagination and effort.

  • Unauthorised Absence

    Fri 23 Feb 2024

Surrey County Council have asked us to post this reminder:

Just to remind parents/carers that if they take their children out of school without authority for 5 or more days (which do not have to be consecutive), they will be liable to receive a penalty notice. Currently the amount payable under a penalty notice is £60.00 per parent/carer per child if paid within 21 days. Thereafter the amount increases to £120.00 if paid between 21 and 28 days. If the

penalty notice remains unpaid after 28 days, the Local Authority will consider a prosecution in the Magistrates Court. Please note that penalty notices are issued per parent/carer per child so a family of two parents and two children will receive 4 penalty notices.

Surrey County Council is not responsible for authorising pupil absence and therefore   cannot withdraw any Penalty Notice requests without the written permission of the Headteacher.

  • Disco next week

    Fri 02 Feb 2024

Please help FOY by pre-ordering tickets for the disco ASAP. This helps the FOY team in judging the amount that needs to be ordered.

  • Going Cashless

    Fri 19 Jan 2024

We have always provided the facility to pay online via Scopay. Next week you will receive a letter about our plan to go cashless (apart from certain fund-raising events) from 1st February. This essentially means that for most requests for payment (such as school trips) we would like you to use your Scopay account. The letter will explain how you go about accessing your own account (each parent and carer receives a login when their child joins the school) if you don’t know how to do this. I would highly recommend that you download the Scopay app onto your phone/tablet if you haven’t done so already. This makes life much easier!
