Wellbeing packs - ideas for supporting mental health

Support for you and your family

Amid the Covid 19 pandemic, supporting the wellbeing of children has never been so important.. Please see the link below designed to offer advice on how parents/carers can safeguard their child/ren's mental health and promote their wellbeing.  This is available as a document and short video presentation.

The link to both resources is here:  https://ssscpd.co.uk/education/parentsandguardians/child-mental-health-10-tips-for-parents/-/pj==

We all need a bit of help sometimes, especially when managing the highs and lows of family life. Surrey Families Help Hub is a brand new service.  They are starting small, so at the moment their help is focused on children’s behaviour – from babies to teens.

They can help you find useful information, advice and support for those times when you need it.

Please download the file below for ideas and resources to support your child's wellbeing/mental health.

This booklet may be a useful resource for you and your children to deal with and understand some of the emotions they may be experiencing during these very different times we are all experiencing.  It is not a piece of work that needs to be completed but an additional aid to support their emotional literacy and wellbeing.

We suggest that you read through the booklet  yourself and decide what would be most appropriate for your child.  There are a list of free websites and apps listed at the back to support with Mindfulness and Keeping Active.

This may be a good resource for the Easter break.

If you need any help or guidance using the pack above to support your child, please email: wb@yattendon.surrey.sch.uk to contact our emotional literacy support team.
