Horley Learning Partnership
Horley Learning Partnership (HLP)
The Horley Learning Partnership (HLP) is an Extended Learning Confederation in partnership with schools and other agencies, in order to generate quality educational opportunities to inspire a life-long learning community.
Yattendon School was one of the eleven schools chosen to pilot the Surrey initiative ‘Organising for Success’ along with Burstow Primary School, Charlwood Infant School, Manorfield Primary and Nursery School, Meath Green Infant School, Meath Green Junior School, Salfords School, Horley Infant School, Langshott Infant School, Oakwood School, Woodfield Special School and, more recently, Trinity Oaks Primary School. The main focus of this pilot project was the development of a range of services to a group of schools within a pilot locality to develop autonomous management and integrated service delivery. This promotes social inclusion, raises achievement and the role of schools as part of community solutions to local needs.
We look forward to continuing to strengthen our links with other service providers, sharing expertise and resources to the benefit of our children, their parents, members of staff and the wider community.
Horley Learning Partnership Projects
Teachers within the HLP group throughout Horley meet regularly in some Curriculum groups. The HLP Art Group has led several exciting projects and exhibitions which have been successful to enhance the children’s experience of learning new skills and using new materials. These projects have included an outdoor willow sculpture, clay Egyptian cat themed pots and altered images photography work. Yattendon have also hosted a Gifted And Talented Art Workshop Day for children from across the HLP Schools. Other curriculum groups within the HLP meet to develop projects with a specific focus. These include Literacy, Maths and Assessment.
