At Yattendon we teach a knowledge-led curriculum.  We are specific and meticulous about what is taught in each year group to ensure that learning is sequentially linked and built upon.  We ensure that children leave us with a toolkit of basic skills.

Excellent outcomes for our children are at the heart of everything we do.  We are explicit about what learning is and ensure our pupils are equipped with the determination they need to tackle challenges and the grit they need to succeed (The Y Factor).  Our teachers have a shared understanding how assessment helps us to teach accurately and provide exactly what each individual needs to progress.  We teach our children about how they learn (Learnacy) and give them the language to express this.

At Yattendon we ask our children to think hard every day and we challenge ourselves to ensure that learning is always purposeful, clear, challenging and full of rich learning experiences.
