Progress:
Progress is calculated against the national performance. Therefore a positive (+) score indicates that Yattendon pupils have performed better than the national average while a negative (-) score indicates that Yattendon pupils have performed below the national average for each year. It should be noted that small differences with the national average can still place the school within the average band. This is the case for writing and mathematics (above). Progress figures are not available for this year due to the 2020/2021 lockdowns.

Average Scaled Score:
In the 2025 SATs, pupils’ test results were translated into a scaled score to ensure consistency of results across the country. A child achieving a scaled score of 100 is said to be working at the expected standard for the end of year 6.
