Children have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular clubs at Yattendon.
Teacher Led Clubs
These mainly operate as after-school sessions, usually finishing at 4.00pm or 4:15pm, although some clubs also take place during lunchtime.
At present, there is no charge for these clubs – staff run these voluntarily.
The range of clubs that have operated during this academic year include: Drama, Card Games, TTRS, Nature Art, Art Relaxation, Cross Country, Cross Stitch, Knitting and Netball.
External Provider Clubs
We also facilitate a number of activities, (e.g. Chess, Coding, Football and Multi-Sports) led by outside providers who do make a small charge. These activities are advertised separately as spaces occur.
Parents should note that outdoor clubs may be cancelled in bad weather and arrangements in this event should be clarified in advance with your child and not be reliant on telephone calls.
In the event that a club needs to be cancelled, the school office will notify parents via studybugs.
Extra Music Lessons
Peripatetic music lessons can be provided in a number of instruments. Lessons take place throughout the school day. Details of these will be available in September for pupils entering the school at this time. At other times in the year, please enquire with the school office.
The School Clubs Leader oversees the provision and organisation of staff-run and externally-run school clubs.
